Chief's Page

From the Chief:

I want to welcome you to the official website of the Lesslie Fire Department (LFD). Thank you for taking time to visit our website. I hope you find it both informative and valuable.

The LFD is one of the oldest fire departments in York County, established in 1955. The Lesslie Fire Department must maintain and improve as an organization each and every day, keeping up with NFPA standards for the fire service and by using current technology and latest information available. We will continue to adapt our service delivery model to best meet the challenges we face each day.

We have received lots of support from the Lesslie Community. This has been a time of change and as we move forward to maintain the quality of service to the Lesslie Community we will respond to all of the needs of services that are requested of our department by quickly responding to fire, rescue, medical, and environmental incidents, and by providing public fire education and business pre-planning.

Planning for emergency response and comprehensive training are also an important part of our department’s efforts to save lives and protect property.

The year of 2014 was a difficult year for our department because of the passing of Chief Larry McConnell in July. He was a good friend and role model to me, to all the members of the department, and all of the citizens of York County.

If this department can be of any assistance to you, please contact us.

Thanks

Chief Tommy White
